Former lover and media bigwig, Chase Prescott, calls on Henrietta O'Dwyer Collins (known as Henrie-O) to try and find out who has tried to kill him. He invites Henrie-O and all the suspects to his private island off the coast of South Carolina and there, with a hurricane threatening, Henrie-O must try and find out the truth. Among the possiblities are Chase's lawyer, his sons, his third wife and his second wife's sister. Then there are two murders that help reduce the number of suspects, but otherwise don't point the way much. With the hurricane coming Henrie-O must find the truth quickly.
