Description
James Laver's (Victoria & Albert Museum, London, UK) classic 1969 /A concise history of fashion/ remains largely intact in this new edition. The text describes costume, clothing, and fashion from ancient times through the present. New to the fourth edition is a revision of the final chapter, on fashion from 1940-2001. First written for an earlier edition by Amy de la Haye (Victoria & Albert Museum), it has been revised by Andrew Tucker to include the turn of the (20th) century trends, including Gucci, Prada, urban sportswear, and must-have accessories.
