Description
Bill Dorn is on the trail of Mike Bundy, his former associate who has swindled Dorn and several of his friends in a fraudulent oil scheme. He's incensed, in part because he was robbed, but mostly because he'd vouched for Bundy. On his way to Nacional to confront Bundy, Dorn comes across the body of Jake Fanning, who was grubstaked by Bundy -- and from the nuggets found on his body, it looks like he had hit pay-dirt. After taking the body back to his ranch and calling the sheriff, Dorn heads back out after Bundy. But the killing continues, and things are hardly ever what they seem, as Dorn and Bundy get mixed up with some wily women and have one confrontation after another. Their final confrontation ends with Dorn telling an angry mob, "by rights he belongs to me, because I nailed him, but I don't want him and you can do as you think best."
