Description
The first 12 lectures examine the transformation of the classical heritage as seen during the Roman peace of the second century A.D. into the early medieval world of Byzantium. The next set of nine lectures deals with the achievements of Middle Byzantine state and society. The last three lectures deal with the late Byzantine world.
