Description
The Peacemakers follows the vigilante exploits of five boyhood friends, under the guidance and tutelage of their parish priest and mentor. The five friends become judge, jury and executioner to those they deem dregs of society, after an incident that started out as self-defense when they were in high school in a small Adirondack town in upstate New York. The close-knit group establish and follow their own set of rules as they systematically carry out their crusade over a fifteen-year period, even as they become successful professionals. They are unaware, however, that a writer researching his current book has stumbled upon their deadly evangelism. The writer and his friend, a retired Buffalo detective, unearth a string of suspicious clues that the Peacemakers leave to mark their victims. The "chase", provocative and humorous, will leave the reader unsure of who to root for throughout the book, culminating in a surprise ending.
